Hi Kris et al,

Yes, the symbol is found in a German standard - the Bad News is I don't
know which one.

The Good News is; I had to cobble one together for a TUV project years
ago. They supplied me with a tiny, ancient, multi-generation faxed copy of
the "mark". I then filled it in pixel-by-pixel until the TUV was satisfied
with my efforts. The unofficial graphic can be found at:

     <http://www.safetylink.com/housetuv.tif>

While at the Safety Link <http://www.safetylink.com>, if you use your
browser's 'find' function - usually, CONTROL F - and search on the word -
Symbols - you will find a number of contiguous resources that link to
collections of familiar Symbols and Markings as well as a number of
obscure ones. The CPTec site has annotations in German and sometimes in
English, depending on which collection you are viewing.

If you contact a TUV I'm certain they can supply you with the correct
standard reference for this symbol - and perhaps, an official drawing.

Regards, Art Michael, Webmaster - the Safety Link

60417 or ISO 7000. I just checked the databases for these standards. However,
your question has been asked before in this forum. From what I can remember
there is either a German standard that depicts this symbol or TUV has
something to do with it. If this forum is archived, maybe you can find the
information you need there. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
