Colleagues, I am looking for a list of US and/or European standards that would apply to an audio intercom system. In particular I am looking for standards to guide the quality of the audio output. Questions like: a) How much noise is allowed b) protection against operator hearing loss or ear damage from excessive hiss, pops, static, or even feedback.
The speakers would be within close proximity of the user's ears (1 - 4 inches). Any pointers would be appreciated.
