There are no harmonized European standards on this subject. Obviously,
there is a market-place product-quality requirement for adequate
intelligibility.

There are no harmonized European standards on this subject, other than
the overall requirements for noise exposure under occupational health
regulations.

The situation might be different if the operators were using headphones,
but that EN applies to consumer products.
