Dear All I have a unit for submittal for UL1863 and CSA C22.2 No182.4-M90 for patch panels and their cords.
Our client has an interesting request which I am not sure we can comply with. Client requests compliance to the previous edition of the standard UL1863 (may 2000). There is a 2004 revision of the UL1863 standard. The reason for the strange request is a contract our client has and this version is written in the contract. Can testing to previous version of the standard be done? Until when can we test for the edition of the standard UL1863 (may 2000)? Is UL the only place to test patch panels and cords?
