I have used a number of fluorescent replacements for incandescent lamps both at home and work. In the main they are long lasting and reliable although I have had one or two early failures, one spectacular with cracking and popping >from the module in the base. These were marked as being made by one of the big lamp mfrs. I put these down to examples of infant mortality. Sending them back is more hassle than it’s worth. Some are on nearly all the time and others are switched on and off so can’t put failures down to being frequently switched on and off.
Have had a similar experience with LED versions of 12V dichroic replacements, in a few lamps after a short period, several of the LEDs in the arrays (normally there are 24 or 20 leds per lamp) have failed. I have fluorescents in my lab I use for lighting when I'm not doing emissions work. They make a big difference in my electric bill, and only one has gone out in 2 and a 1/2 years. They are on all day, every day. Maybe buy a better brand of lamp? Cheers, Derek.
