I think using incandescent lamps cost less than screw-in fluorescent lamps. HI Bob, Interesting study, though it conflicts with my data. I have fluorescents in my lab I use for lighting when I'm not doing emissions work. They make a big difference in my electric bill, and only one has gone out in 2 and a 1/2 years. They are on all day, every day. Maybe buy a better brand of lamp? Cheers, Derek.
