Suggest you use a Keithley 6514 or 6517 Electrometer with a shielded Faraday Pail attached to its input. It is easy to make the Faraday Pail yourself. See for example page 5 of:
http://web.mit.edu/8.022/www/Handouts/lab1.pdf You can basically use any concentric conductive containers, as long as the small one nestles comfortably (electrically floating) inside the exterior one (shield). The deeper, the better. (Better shielding). I have used stainless steel chemistry beakers, stainless steel kitchen storage cannister, home-made contraptions made out of fine-mazed chicken wire and out of aluminum paper, metal kitchen pots, metal garbage cans, etc... The size of your specimen basically dictates the size of the Faraday pail. Good luck. Noel Verbiest.
