This position will be based at our Network Systems Division in Orland Park, Illinois. The engineer will have responsibility for the compliance testing (both environmental and communication standard) of state of the art communication in Network Systems products. The engineer will also perform duties consistent with current project management procedures including creation and maintenance of project schedules, and the ability to give technical product guidance. The successful candidate will possess a BSEE and/or MSEE and must have at least 8 years of overall engineering experience. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years experience in the following: * Compliance product experience. * Experience with compliance of product performance and environmental standards (e.g. EMI, EMC, Ethernet (IEEE 802.3), UL, TIA, ISO). Integration testing and interoperability testing. * Demonstrated system project management skills. * Knowledge of electrical standards (e.g. IEEE, EIA/TIA, ISO, UL a plus). * Working experience of lab equipment. * Ability to communicate clearly through spoken or written word. * Ability to work with other engineers, lab technicians, product management and customers in a team environment required. * Experience with personal computers, MS Word, and MS Project required. ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message is from the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society emc-pstc discussion list.
