Hello all, Can anyone share a written checklist for use by a newbie in the compliance business (not me :-), faced with their first interaction with a NRTL's IPI (Initial Production Inspection).
I've been thru it a number of times over the years myself, but have never see a written procedure. Their interest is in a generic checklist of items of concern during the IPI. Time is short (what's new about that?), and we are trying to anticipate any and all concerns prior to the IPI. Obviously all items in the Report must be supported (conformance-wise) but we won't have the report until a few days before the IPI, further supporting the need for advanced-knowledge prior to the IPI. The newbie is in China (information only). The product is under UL 588, Seasonal Decorative Products and consists primarily of a fan motor assembly and some light bulbs and sockets. No hi-tech here!
