I am writing to you from Alan Weiss Productions. We are working with the
State of New Jersey, funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of
Labor, Employment and Training Administration to develop a library of
documentary-style videos on various careers. One of the careers we will
be profiling this year is Product Safety Engineers.

The career video library will be a resource available to every state.
Students and/or professionals interested in finding a job, selecting a
career or improving their work skills can use these systems to explore
career and job training options and to search state and/or national
databases for available jobs. If you would like to see other career
videos, go to www.acinet.org <http://www.acinet.org/> and click on the
link on the link for “videos.”

Our goal is to make each video a brief, fair and accurate representation
of the types of work and work environments a job seeker can expect
within a specific career. Videos typically last 1 to 1 ½ minutes and are
narrated by voiceover artists (we will not be taping interviews). With
this in mind, I am writing to you to inquire about taping our video with
an NPSS associated Product Safety Engineer. I can assure you that our
intention is to work as quickly and efficiently as possible, with little
disruption to the workplace. We would ask for no more than 2-3 hours of
an engineer’s time. The crew will consist of just a cameraperson and
production manager using non-intrusive portable video equipment.

It would be great if you could help me to locate a professional who
would like to be profiled in this video. We are New York City based and
are looking for Product Safety Engineers who work in the NY metro area
(NYC, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey). If possible, I would love
to have this message posted on a NPSS list-serv if one exists.

Please write back or call, and let me know if you are interested in
working with us for this video. We are looking to shoot this during the
coming month.

Thanks so much for your time and all the best.
