My understanding is that as of today, the only requirement for the Denan (PSE) mark as it applies to your equipment would be the power supply and power cords. Since you are not providing a power supply you have no need to apply the mark. As for EMC, Japan normally only requires radiated and conducted emissions based on CISPR16 but they may also request additional information based on the IEC immunity requirements. It is up to the installer to provide the power. We have been told by our Japan office that these low voltage products should not have the PSE circle Mark on the label as they are under 100Vac. My questions are as follows: 1. Since these products are <100V are they exempt from the PSE circle Mark requirements? 2. If they are exempt from Safety requirements are they still required to meet EMC requirements for Japan? Are they required to bear the PSE Circle Mark to show EMC compliance similar to the CE requirements in Europe? Thanks in advance for your help.
