We have chance to find 3 pin mains receptacles in laboratories,
hospitals, etc., but it is very difficult to find 3 pin receptacles
in dwelling houses.

These days, it is not unusual to find professional equipment
which were supplied with 3 pin plugs but without 3P-2P adaptors.
When we have 3 pin plugs but we have 2 pin receptacles only,
we can use 3P-2P adaptors.
