The storage temperature of most ferrite chip beads (certainly all 
the datasheets I have looked at) specify an operating temperature 
range that is much wider than the storage temperature range. Typically
these are -55 to +125°C operating and -20 to +40°C storage. 

Q1: Why is this so?
 
Q2: If I use ferrites in a PCB, is my storage temperature for the 
whole product restricted by the storage temperature of the ferrites?
