UK client is looking for some expert advice on Lightning protection. The product is a Point-to-multipoint radio product installed on rooftop. AC mains and ethernet data inputs, co-located antenna.
Current plan: 1)test/ruggedise the product to a level that can be reasonably achieved with inherent and additional internal circuitry - looking for guidance on test levels, waveshapes and set-ups etc. 2) Provide advice that will be given to the end customer on additional external protection circuitry and the installation circumstances under which is should be used. They are anticipating a total of a few days work for this. Please contact me off line for more information. regards Charlie - This message is from the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society emc-pstc discussion list.
