Scott There is no requirement for UK plugs to be moulded on, a "screwed together" plug is perfectly acceptable.
Also note that The Plugs and Sockets etc (Safety) Regulations 1994 require plugs to be fitted only to household appliances, professional gear is not affected. A link to the DTI is here: http://www.dti.gov.uk/strd/plugso.html The full regulations can be found here: http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si1994/Uksi_19941768_en_1.htm Regards Chris _____________________________________________ Christopher Colgan Compliance Engineer Soundcraft & Studer Harman International Industries Ltd Tel: +44 (0) 1707 668081 Fax: +44 (0) 1707 660755 EMail: [email protected] Web : http://www.soundcraft.com Web : http://www.studer.ch This email may contain confidential / privileged information and is intended, solely for the use of the named recipient(s). This means both the IEC-320 at the one end and the fused BS-1363 wall plug at the other end? I ask because we sent such a cordset to the UK and the reviewer commented he thought the cordset unacceptable because the plugs were both screwed together and not molded. Note that the plugs both have appropriate EU safety agency markings on them. Thank you in advance for any comments.
