HI Anders As to the second question about SAR; if the device is in a portable configuration (i.e. held to the ear or worn on the body) SAR must be done. If it is in a mobile only configuration where a specified separation distance is kept, then MPE calculation are done.
Also remember that only transmitters are done in the licensed bands. Modular approvals under the FCC Modular approval docket are for part 15 devices. (I´m aware of the requirements for WLAN antenna connectors that have the requirements for a unique connector to be used so I thought that that maybe it should be the same for a WCDM board). I have looked in FCC part 24 but have not find any requirement for unique antenna connector. The intended markets are US, EU, Australia and New Zealand Anyone who can give me some input if there are any requirements for the antenna connector? Second question Do we need to do any SAR measurements for such device or it´s ok to do a calculation of the maximum permission Exposure? (I think it should be classified as a Mobile device)?
