Dear all I was just polling the group in order to see if there is a consensus of opinion on Informative Annexes, usually found right at the back of most standards after the Normative Annexes. Are they a) Actually a part of the standard with all of the weight and authority of the proceeding sections. Or b) Bits of information and examples that may be of use but are not actually part of the standard and its test requirements. e.g. Annex E (informative) of EN 55022: 1998 which talks about LCL in the design of telecoms ports. Is this just nice to know or is it something that should be measured and assessed as part of a test to EN 55022. Thanks for your thoughts.
