Group Client has piece of mains powered IT/Telecoms equipment with non-detachable PSU cord that is installed outdoors. They now want to also sell the units into the USA
clause 3.2.3 of EN60950 allows for a non-detachable power supply cord which is provided with the equipment - UL60950 does not allow this and requires a set of terminals to be provided. Plan is to provide a separate terminal box for North America to allow EUT supply "cord" to be connected to mains supply Before a connection box is designed and suitable terminals and glands sourced - does anyone know of a standard off-the-shelf unit that could be used outdoors?
