Hi Group Members: Michael Kirschner of Design Chain Associates suggested, based on his communication with Chinese government, a better translation for the "safety period" under Article 3 and 11 of the China's RoHS law, "Administrative Measure for the Control of Pollution Caused by Electronic Information Products". After re-visiting the original Chinese document and discussing with a licensed toxicologist, "environment-friendly use period", as suggested by Michael, is a better translation. I revised the web page March 8, 2006. If you made/saved a copy before that day, you may wish to re-do it.
Michael, thank you very much for your input. I sincerely appreciate it.
