Hello Wendy, We have got a very cheap digital temperature/humidity meter that was bought for only a few Euros. It has a memory function that records the maximum and minimum values. This memory function can be reset, for example, at the start of each day's testing. This gives us the temperature and humidity range for that day. However, in my experience, ESD testing does not take very long. Therefore I think that it is adequate to just note the temperature and humidity at the start of the test, and then check the values after an hour, if the testing is still going. Dear Group, Is it necessary to have a recorder (for 24hr/7day/31days) for temperature/humidity/pressure in the ESD room? I cant find this stated anywhere in the 61000-4-2 standard. I have a thermohygrometer that only displays the temperature/humidity but does not record. Is this sufficient? If not, can anybody recommend me a reliable recorder? We have 2 Omega CTH89 but the pen arm was not working and hence could no longer record. And the repair cost is high! (FYI I do not use a barometer because my country’s pressure does not vary too much and is always within that required by the standard).
