Working on the newest thing, I find I need help defining what qualifies as a heatsink.
Does Guide ISO-IEC 51, IEC 60050, or IEC 60743 define Heatsink? Can I as the manufacture specify to our safety agency that an item or area of a product is the “Heatsink”? Can an entire metal housing be allowed the heatsink temperature rise (device has no user controls after install in ceiling or wall mount)? Does it have to have fins? Thank you in advance, Chuck McDowell Meyer Sound Laboratories Inc. ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
