The Draft UK Statutory instrument fro implementing the EuP Directive has been issued for consultation. http://www.defra.gov.uk/corporate/consult/ecodesign-energy/index.htm It only covers Refrigerators, Boilers and Flourescent Lights at the moment. But studies being under taken by the EU may lead to requirements for TV and standby power in all energy using products. http://www.ecodesignarc.info/servlet/is/793/ Regards Allen _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tyra, John Sent: 05 September 2006 22:44 To: emc-pstc Subject: Standby regs in U.K. Hello everybody, Does anyone have any info on proposed UK legislation to abolish standby functions on TV's, video and DVD players?
