All, I’ve been asked to evaluate some third party Bluetooth products for resale by my company, and it’s been a while since I checked in depth so I thought I’d bring this to the group...
I believe that Class II Bluetooth is NOT harmonized in the EU (Italy I think restricts usage outdoors according to my latest info) but I wanted to check with everyone here to see if that is still the case, or if the (!) after the CE Mark can be dropped (independent of the NB#). That was a bit poorly stated, so I’ll simplify – is Class II Bluetooth (appx 3mW, 2402-2480MHz) harmonized (thus requiring the notification mark (!)), or is the notification mark not required for this technology at the Class II power level <10mW?
