We manufacturer different kind of products mainly in the digital video and imaging sectors. We do sell these products almost everywhere on the planet using distributors but, also, we sell to OEMs that integrate our products and do sell them as part of their offerings. And there lies a problem, especially for those markets where the manufacturer has to have a ‘in countries’ signatory for the EMC Declarations of Conformity and where we don’t have an office. For instance, Australia, Taiwan and South-Korea. Since our local distributor would not allow us to use its name on Declarations of Conformity for our sales to the OEMs, we are stuck when these OEMs ask to see our DOCs. So I am wondering if some knowledgeable people on this list ever heard of some entity that could act as our agent in those countries without being itself the distributor of our product. It could be an EMC test house, an attorney (who knows what EMC stands for) or a consultant.
