The vehicle's chassis is ground and the equipment connection to that is the basis for bonding the test sample to the ground plane. One thing that is often different with ground vehicles is that the chassis is also the current return, in which case you may decide to use one LISN instead of two. On aircraft and ships, current return is almost always on a dedicated wire, at least as current returns out of the equipment enclosure. This necessitates one LISN per power current carrying conductor, meaning two LISNs for dc power and single phase ac power.
