Hi All,

It's the beginning of the month again and I have been busy typing. My
  latest Technical Tidbit article is:

Coupled Bonding Conductors
(from Lightning Protection to Noise Reduction)

Abstract: Coupled bonding conductors have been used for many years in
the telecommunications field for lightning protection. The principles
involved are discussed, and then examples of other uses are shown at
the system and board level.

For the February Technical Tidbit, I discuss a technique that has been
used in protection of telephone systems for many years, and has many
potential uses in other settings, Coupled Bonding Conductors (CBS). By
explaining the operation of CBCs, some light is also shed on how
shielded cables work as well. Extension of CBCs to other uses is also
discussed.

The article is linked from the drawing at the bottom of the page at:

I have now well over 100 articles on the website now!

There is also a podcast at http://emcesd-podcast.com discussing this
topic. It is show #36 for January 10, 2007, at the top of the list.

I attended DesignCon this week and will soon be posting a 20 minute
podcast I recorded at the show. It will be show #37 and will be up in
a week or so.
