But if my employer approves, I could post my python-based code that implements a web crawler and an RSS client; but my system does most of the work off-line using Beautiful Soup, see <cheeseshop.python.org/pypi/BeautifulSoup>. Your MIS people may have problems with your use of a web crawler, so ask first...
