I echo Scott's sentiment. If it's an allowable construction, the power supply cords need to be sized to handle full current (min. No. 12 AWG), in the event of a fault. > 2. Even so, if the second circuit on another phase and there's no independent rectification for that circuit, it may cause problems inside the product.
