Hi Christine: NOM certification and marking of projectors is a legal requirement for Mexico. Without this, the Mexican customs authorities can confiscate the equipment, and may not return the equipment. I would recomend that you contact an agent such as TUV, NEMKO, or some other regulatory agent/body that has experience with NOM submittals, as this is not an easy process. The NOM product certifications are valid for one year, and have to be renewed every year that the product is still sold into the Mexico market. We have a client in Mexico that wants to buy our OEM product, which does not have the NOM Mark. The client states that we can ship our products directly to a buyer ( Them) in Mexico without having the NOM Mark. They state that we would need the NOM Mark if the product was being bought >from a local office or distributor in Mexico and then being sold to them.
