Is my understanding correct? Hi Wendy: I agree with you that the tests referenced in Amendment A1:2001 would not apply to a simple USB printer. However, I think that technically, the complete standard that is in force today is EN55024:1998 +A1 + A2, and that it is no longer acceptable to use a report that only considers EN55024:1998 without the amendments. I often have difficulty sorting out these transition dates, so I may be mistaken on this. It should be simple enough to revise your report to include A1 (and A2), and then simply indicate "not applicable" for any provisions in A1 and A2 that do not apply to the equipment under test.
