Wendy,

EN55024:1998 + A1 (and even A2) is an applicable standard for EMC & RTTE
Directive. So there is no reason why your customer cannot ask to make up a
report with this amendment listed even if these are not applicable to this USB
printer.

Best regards,

Kris Carpentier

Subject: EN555024:1998 A1:2001

Dear Group,

I would like to know if anyone has tested products using EN55024:1998 A1:2001.
>From the text of the standard (acoustic sound level), products subjected to
this amendment should be a Telecommunication equipment which carries
voice/sound signals, perhaps a telephone.

A Customer whose product is a simple USB Printer is requesting that I add this
amendment in the test report. I did not since it was not applicable and most
importantly – not tested.

Is my understanding correct?

Regards,

Wendy Nya
