Hi Richard, Depending on the application and certifications that you are pursuing, you may need IEEE 1725 (mobile phones), or the upcoming IEEE 1625 (which I believe applies to mobile computers, or maybe calculators if the definition is broad enough).
Cell certification to UL 1642 may also be required depending on your end product classification and what safety certifications you are pursuing (Note I may have that UL standard number wrong - I'm not near my reference materials and I'm more of an EMC/RF type than a Safety expert). This is most of what I'm running into now but shouldn't be considered a full list - I'm sure there are others here with different product types that will have lots of other requirements for these. Note that Brazil and other countries are also requiring in-country certification of battery packs for certain product types now (I know that mobile phones are effected now & other product types may be coming soon) - so you will need to plan for that as well.
