Hi All,

Based on the “First Catalogue of Products Subject to Compulsory
Certification (Information technology equipment (IT) 12 categories)” and
“List of Harmonized System (HS) codes of products subject to CCC mark” I
advised our client a manufacturer of ext. HDD that their product is exempt
>from the compulsory CCC certification. Their sales engineer in China says it
is required and asked them to either get it certified or provide them with
"CCC Mark Remission document”. I believe they mean the waiver (letter of
exemption) from the Chinese government. Please give me your interpretation of
the requirements and share knowledge if someone obtained waiver for their
product.

Thanks,

Shawn
