Greetings, I have received a note from a distributor of ours in Australia claiming that the act of punching down an extra telephone extension line at the telephone entry point punch down block, in a house or business, must only be done by a licensed electrician. I'm not sure whether or not that is truly fact or fiction so I've placed an order for the applicable regulation AS 3000:2007. In the meantime, is there anybody on this list who can either confirm or deny this information.
