If the company making the product wants their product RoHS compliant then they won't be using this cap! No there is no (current) exemption and no dispensation for commercial equipment.......... Chris
_____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Christine Rodham Sent: 10 April 2008 18:13 To: [email protected] Subject: EU RoHS Exemption for Highly Specialized Components Dear List Members, Our OEM makes a Teflon and Tin film capacitor. The tin film is 7% lead and there is no substitute metal that can be used in place of the lead in this particular product. Is there an exception to EU RoHS compliance for a Teflon and Tin film capacitor since there is no substitute material? It will be used in commercial equipment in the music industry and not sold to the typical consumer. Thank you! Christine Rodham __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
