All Does anyone know what the EMC requirements are for Mexico? Do I need an in-country representative for a NOM mark? The product is a SRD 13.56 MHz TX wireless card reader UL/IEC 60950 type product that runs from a 9Vdc 1000mA wall-wart power supply.
My understanding of electrical safety for Mexico is: 1. You need to test in-country (Mexico). 2. All electrical equipment entering Mexico needs to be tested. 3. Mexico uses IEC60950 for its safety and the current Mexico National Electrical Code may be harmonized with the NEC (USA). Please inform or correct me if I’m wrong.
