Dear Members, Please help me to find out the compliance requirement in Mexico. I did online search. Here is my search results:
Safety: New NOM Regulations (NOM 016 for ITE and NOM 001 for A/V) starting August 17, 2010: safety NOM certificate or the certificate issued by Intertek (USA), TUV (USA), UL (USA), CSA (Canada), Intertek (Canada), and UL (Canada). Radio Equipment (802.11a/b/g/n and 802.15.4 equipment): NOM-121-SCT1-2009 takes effect on August 21, 2010, in-country testing of one sample to obtain Cofetel certificate US and Mexico signed an MRA in May, 2011. There is 18 months transition period My questions are: 1. Please confirm a certificate issued by Intertek (USA), TUV (USA), UL (USA) is acceptable and no additional work is required. 2. At this time, before the US-Mexica MRA takes effect, what is the conformity assessment procedure for unintentional radiators? Do they need to be tested in Mexico? Is there any certification or type approval procedure apply? 3. Same Item 2 questions for intentional radiators. Thank you very much for your time and look forward to your help.
