Qualifications 
The appropriate candidate must have a BSEE plus a minimum of 4 years of
regulatory experience or, equivalent regulatory work experience of 8+ years.

Knowledge of Product Safety, EMI, and EMC standards, practices, and
certifications is a must. Knowledge of Telecom and wireless regulations and
certification schemes worldwide is important. Knowledge of Automotive and
Medical standards and certification schemes worldwide is a plus.

Responsibilities 
The Platform Engineering organization within the Solutions, Platforms and
Silicon (SPS) group is seeking a Product Regulatory Engineer (PRE) to
support the Embedded & Communications Group (ECG). The candidate must be a
highly motivated Product Regulatory Engineer to support the development
boards and systems regulatory program. The successful person will be
responsible for assisting the Senior Product Regulatory Engineer (or
independently working depending upon experience) to ensure regulatory
compliance is met for the ECG products that include wireless networking,
telecommunications, ITE, medical, and automotive products; inclusive of
enabling hardware also known as Development Vehicles (DV). The DV includes
but is not limited to, Customer Reference Devices, Proof of Concepts,
Engineering Samples, and similar devices. Specific areas of concern are
Safety, EMI, EMC, and RF (including RF Safety) as applicable to each market
segment. Additional responsibilities will include assistance with design
reviews and, evaluation of devices for compliance with the applicable
safety, EMC, Telcom, and RF regulations and initiatives worldwide. The
candidate will be required to research current regulations applied to DVs,
and develop an overall winning strategy to enable product deployments with
minimal regulatory burden. Success will be measured by the accuracy of the
regulatory strategy, correctness of product certifications, satisfaction of
our internal and external customers, as well as no product launch delays. In
order to excel in this position the PRE must be comfortable in a highly
matrixed environment that includes numerous internal partners, external
customers, and vendors.
