Polling the group for ideas/opinions/experiences on the best or recommended way to 'print' in-house metallic name plates for HazLoc. Feel free to respond off-line if you think your idea/opinion/comment is going to start WW3.
Ideally, a printer/engraver of some sort (like the printer used to make polyester labels), that is reasonable priced, and can either just engrave (material is SS or AL) or put down indelible (epoxy?) ink, silk-screen style (I'm starting this query when thinking about 3D or colour laser printers: they came down in price that it now makes sense to own one). Presently, we order the name plates (SS) from an external source at a considerable cost (per unit), not to mention lead time and the extreme difficulties of making any changes. So the idea is to try and do it in-house to give us flexibility to print on-demand. A quick search shows places where these name plates can be ordered, but no commercial printer/s. Thanks, N.
