All,

Does anyone have any update on the NRCan proposed regulation at the site that
Ted indicated below? To my knowledge a final rule has not been published in
part II of the gazette. Am I missing something?

What are others doing in regard to this regulation? The proposed requirement
is to use an SCC designated lab for the testing and marking by a lab’s mark,
or optionally by marking according to the international marking protocol.

The use of a nationally recognized testing lab is not a requirement for most
other countries such as Australia, EU countries, US DOE.

Much appreciated.

Best regards,

Clif

Hello Ron,

Is this what you are looking for on NRCan? The effective date was July 1,
2010.

Australian requirements can be found here.

Subject: NRCan and AUS MEPS effectivity dates?

To all,

I need some assistance.

In my research, I have not been able to ascertain the date whereby compliance
is mandatory with NRCan (Canada) requirements for external power supplies. I
believe it to be sometime in 2011, but have been provided with various dates
in 2011 from various sources. If this date was published in the Canada
Gazette, what was the edition? I simply would prefer to have an actual
documented effectivity date published by NRCan. If anyone can, please provide
that?

Also, has the Australian MEPS requirements been updated or when are they
expected to be updated?

I look forward to your reply.

Best regards,

Ron
