For COTS units, p/s vendors will typically not bother with LPS for the cheap jelly-beam model series, even if the output could meet inherently limited, only effective for custom low-power units. The commercial demand is to put over 100W in a 3x5 footprint - so LPS not always practical or worth the cost. The pin-out is what it is, few vendors will change pin-outs for low-qty OTS units.
My employer makes a model series of 3x5 (1U, 160W) component supplies - NONE of which have an output rated as an LPS. Never had anyone ask for it... Clue #1 For LPS, install a PTC on the output to meet clause 2.5 table 2B or 2C. The limiting component must be certified to IEC60730-1 and must never see a voltage during any SFC > limiting component rating. Clue #2 Embed a class 2 source.
