EN60204 should be compared to NFPA79, not UL508A. Much of the US industrial electric code was derived from IEC60204, and UL508A is used to indicate component conformity for use in industrial applications that must comply with NFPA79. There are some wiring and equipment scope differences between NFPA and 60204.
There are some shops in Si valley that apply the CE mark to their boxes. And there several box makers in Germany and the UL that make stuff with n NRTL mark to UL508A, in addition to the CE mark.
