For software, consider especially parts 1 and 3. Machinery-specific (electrical/electronic only): IEC 62061 [derived from IEC 61508] Machinery-specific (all technologies: e ectrical/pneumatic/hydraulic/mechanical) ISO 13849-1 and -2 (There are many other standards based on/derived from IEC 61508.)
