There is a General Poduct Safety Directive and a Product Liability Directive in the EU - http://www.berr.gov.uk/consumers/fact-sheets/page38252.html You might start there to address your question about equivalent OSHA - EU regulations. Relevant Government Departments take the lead on sectoral responsibilities for safety matters. For example:Safety in the workplace is the Health and Safety Executive. I'm not sure about the National Fire Code, National Electric Code or Uniform Building Code regulations or enforcement in the EU. I would suspect there are EN standards that are applicable but I'm not sure how or who is enforcing them. Interesting questions. Can you be more specific regarding the nature of your inquiry?
