Hello Herr Loerzer, The applicability of safety and EMC requirements for these countries depends significantly on the product type. Without knowing your product, I can't give much guidance. In general, and for Taiwan in particular, you will need to know the harmonized tariff code assigned to your product. That will be used to determine whether the BSMI safety testing is applicable. Please note that even if the national approval is not required, you may still need safety approval for market acceptance. Either a voluntary safety mark issued by the national test agency or approval from a respected Nationally Recognized Test Laboratory (NRTL) in Europe or North America is often useful when the national approval is not applicable. These are the web sites for the agencies for the three countries. http://www.bsmi.gov.tw/ http://www.keeti.re.kr/eng/02_TestSafety/01_01_Introduce.asp http://www.ktl.re.kr/eng/team/certification.asp http://www.bis.org.in/ Ted Eckert The opinions expressed are my own and are not necessarily those of my employer.
