Hi, I need to rent a spectrum analyzer for performing MIL-STD-461 CE101 tests. Although the requirements go down to 30Hz, I only need to start at 100Hz.
After sifting out analyzers with frequency range limits, and those with -3dB IF bandwidth specifications, I keep coming back to the venerable HP 8566B or 8568A with option 462 (bandwidths spec'd at -6dB). 1) For those who perform this test, what spectrum analyzers do you use? 2) How much different will readings be if I used equipment with -3dB IF bandwidth specs?
