15.205 applies, but there is an exemptions listed in paragraph (d):

15.205(d) (9) Devices operated in the 24.0–24.25 GHz band under §15.249 are
exempt from complying with the requirements of this section for the
48.0–48.5 GHz and 72.0–72.75 GHz bands only, and shall not exceed the
limits specified in §15.249(a).

As an aside, PDFs of FCC rules can be out of date from the moment they are
released – current versions are available at the US Government Printing
Office: http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t

Subject: [PSES] 24 GHz emission rules

Folks,

I just wanted to confirm the out-of-band and restricted band emission
requirement relative to FCC part 101.249 for 24.05-24.25 GHz point-to-point
operation.

Does 15.249.d (Emissions radiated outside of the specified frequency bands
shall be attenuated by at least 50 dB below the level of the fundamental or to
the general radiated emission limits in § 15.209
<http://www.hallikainen.org/FCC/FccRules/2009/15/209/section.pdf>

<http://www.hallikainen.com/FccRules/2010/15/209>, whichever is the lesser
attenuation) apply as out-of-band and restricted band emission requirement for
point-to-point radios operating in the 24.05-24.25 GHz band?

Does this paragraph "override" the restricted band requirements in § 15.205
<http://www.hallikainen.org/FCC/FccRules/2009/15/205/section.pdf>
<http://www.hallikainen.com/FccRules/2010/15/205> /§ 15.209
<http://www.hallikainen.org/FCC/FccRules/2009/15/209/section.pdf>
<http://www.hallikainen.com/FccRules/2010/15/209> or do these still apply?

thanks in advance for your help.
