***dbg mode ver 2.0.1

Heed Mr Woodgate's advice and read these stds.

They are similar and they are different - you need to read these stds to see
how they would apply to your xfmr + box.

IAC, they both want you to O/L to just below the fail point - depending on the
method of temperature and/or current protection used.

Subject: EN 60950:2001 and EN 61010-1 Transformer tests

Dear Group,

Can anybody provide me details of the tests (overload, insulation, fire, etc,)
that would have been applied to a mains transformer in accordance with the
requirements of EN 60950:2001 and how they compare with the mains transformer
compliance requirements of EN 61010 Ed. 1, or EN 61010-1 Ed. 2?

Many thanks in anticipation of your responses.

Regards

Ian Unwin
