In one approach the magnetics (and terminations) are integrated into the connector. A different approach is to use external magnetics & terminations. I have also seen shielded and unshielded connectors. My question is: What are the pros and cons for each approach (from an EMC standpoint)? Is there a *best* approach? Thanks again to all the reply!!
