It's clear from the various messages in this thread that there is complete confusion: 5 mm mandatory, 5 mm but 3 mm conditional, 5 mm but any smaller size conditional. It's a matter of self-preservation. If the customs officer can't see the CE mark with his dark glasses on, your product will be held up for weeks.
